We are part of the wider Student Cross organisation which walks to Walsingham every Easter. Eleven groups start from various locations across the country, each carrying a large, wooden cross as a mark of witness and an act of faith. Whilst each leg of Student Cross is proud to have its own unique identity, we are united by our common purposes of prayer, companionship, faith and fun.Northern Leg spends the 7 days of Holy Week each year walking from near Nottingham to the National Shrine of Walsingham, arriving on Good Friday to meet up with the 10 other Student Cross legs. We stop along the way with parishes and local communities from all denominations and share our Easter journey with them. Accommodation is a mixture of church hall floors and overnight stays with hospitable parishioners. We are particularly proud of our musical heritage and enjoy the mixture of recreational and liturgical opportunities, in which everyone can take part.
